Coffee Ed Mission:
Advance the overall understanding of the coffee industry to ensure coffee organizations provide a quality product and play a positive role in the global economy.
Coffee Ed was founded by Dan Cox of Coffee Enterprises, a coffee consulting business in Burlington, Vermont. They recognized that when it came to coffee education, there were few opportunities to learn about all aspects of the complex coffee industry. Some coffee education programs trained for roasting and cupping techniques; others focused on the social and economic implications of coffee. None could offer both.
Coffee Ed takes a holistic approach, providing an in-depth understanding of the entire coffee business and its impacts on the global economy, farmer livelihoods, and the environment. From country-of-origin issues to cupping profiles, our intensive coffee education courses and seminars combine theory and hands-on experience to educate coffee professionals about the dynamic factors affecting the industry.
